Our Thrust
The society is a non-profit association whose purpose is to promote learning in India and elsewhere, using simulations, simulation and learning games, based on or supported by software or otherwise, role play, dynamic case studies, and other experiential learning techniques, hereafter collectively called gaming simulations.
Aims and Objects
- to encourage and guide the design, development, conduct and research of gaming simulations among its members and other users of gaming simulations
- to be a useful forum for its members for the exchange of information, knowledge, opinion and ideas in gaming simulations through newsletters, journals, conferences, websites, and other similar means
- to promote the use of gaming simulations as appropriate learning techniques in schools, colleges, universities, training departments of organisations, and other educational institutions through proprietary programmes, sponsorships and competitions
- to be a repository of research and reports in gaming simulations, in the form of books, magazines, newsletters, journals, and digital libraries for its stakeholders
- to act as a platform for the discovery and dissemination of knowledge in gaming simulations by publishing journals, owning and managing websites, conducting seminars and sponsoring research projects by professionals and at universities
